Custom Paintings

I make custom paintings, bright and colourful artwork unique for you!

How Commissioning a painting works

For my custom paintings I use top quality watercolour and ink on 300gsm acid-free watercolour paper.
We'll start by discussing what you'd like and the size and cost. A non returnable deposit of  10% is made and I then begin work on the first sketches. I'll email them to you for approval to make sure you're completely happy before I start to work on the final piece. Once I have confirmation from you to  begin work on the final painting, the rest of of the payment is made.  I'll email you the finished image and then ship it to you beautifully gift wrapped and within a board backed envelope.

Price guide
8 ¼ x 5 ¾ (UK size A5) £50.00
8 ¼ x 11 ¾ (UK size A4) £80.00
Custom sizes are available too, you can use the above prices for a rough idea but please contact me by email at jessicastride@hotmail.co.uk if you have a specific size you'd like so that I can give you an exact cost.

Timescale
From the day the full payment is received, your custom painting will take approximately 2 weeks to finish. Shipping within the UK will only take a day or so after this but if you live outside the UK, please leave at least another 2 weeks for the longer shipping time. This is very important if it's for a special date in the calender. I want you to recieve it in plenty of time.

Payment
I prefer payment by Paypal but I'll also accept bank transfer by online banking or a cheque. (There will be a longer delay with a cheque because we'll have to wait for it to clear.)
You don't need to have an account in order to pay through Paypal.  It's a safe, quick and efficient way to pay for goods online and I won't need any personal or bank details from you. Please visit www.paypal.com if you'd like further information.

Pricing
The costs stated above will include all materials, shipping and the time that's been calculated to complete the artwork. I want you to be completely happy for me to commence work on the final piece and to make any changes before your final confirmation is given, therefore any extra changes or additions after this time are done so at the discretion of the artist and may incur extra charges to the original price.
Unwanted commission work When you commission an artwork you are entering into a commitment with the artist.  No refunds can be issued, this is due to the  fact that it may not be resaleable by the artist due to the personal nature of a commission piece.
Non delivery or damage during transit
Once the painting has been sent out, please understand that the responsibility for their carriage and delivery lies with the courier or mail company, and any damage or loss is not the responsibility of the artist.  Any claims for compensation for undelivered or damaged items must be made by the customer. I keep all postage receipts in the rare occurance you need to make a claim with the postal service.
 Copyright
The painting will be yours to keep forever but please note that the copyright of the image produced will remain with the artist.  That means it cannot be reproduced in any format without consent the proir written consent of the artist.
